Undermain teatar je ekperimentalna pozorišna trupa multidisciplinarne orjentacije cije se aktivnosti baziraju na povezivanju teatra, filma, videa i muzike. Osnovana je 1984. godine. Deluje u Dalasu i Njujorku, a izvesno vreme trupa je provela rade}ci i u Istocnoj Evropi. Credo Undermain teatra je: razvijanje individualnosti umetnika i edukacija društva putem umetnosti.

o predstavi:
Siže predstave preuzet je iz sedme biblijske Knjige o sudijama karakteristicne po brutalnim scenama. U 19. glavi ove knjige govori se o Levitovoj konkubini/inoci koja najpre ucini preljubu, zatim doživljava grupno silovanje, da bi na kraju bila raskomadana macem na dvanaest delova od strane svog gospodara i razaslata u sve delove zemlje izraelske. "U to vreme, kako kae Knjiga o sudijama, nije bilo kralja u Izraelu, ve} je ''svako radio ono to je u njegovim oima bilo ispravno''". Biblijska prica kombinovana je sa pricom rudara Severne Virdžinije i sudbinom sredovene Pearl, tetke autorke Ruth Margraff, koja se posle niza oboavanih-i-odsutnih Marlboro mukaraca rastoila u samozaboravu i u komi, po otkazivanju plu}a, umrla1996. godine.
U predstavi je korištena americka folk muzika i rokenrol.

Undermain theatre is an experimental multidiscipline orientated theatre company whose activities are based on connecting theatre, film, video and music. It was founded in 1984. It works in Dallas and New York and it spend a certain period of time working in East Europe. This company's credo is: An artist's individuality developement and education of society through art.



about the play:
The topic of this play is taken from the seventh biblical Book of Judges which is characterized by brutal scenes. In the 19th Chapter of this Book there is a story about Levitt's Concubine who commits adultary , than survives multiple rape, ends up mutlilated into twelve pieces by the sword of her master and her body pieces are spread throughout Israeli land. "''...in those days there was no king in Israel, but every man did that which was right in his own eyes.''" (Judges,17:06). This bilblical story is combined with the story of miners from North Virginia and destiny of a middle-aged Pearl, who drinks herself into oblivion due to a series of beloved-but-absent Marlboro Men. Pearl was author Margraff's aunt who died when her lungs collapsed during a coma in 1996.
American folk music and rock 'n' roll are used in this play.
